Municipality anticipates $2.2 million in new provincial funding

For the first time in 5 years, the province has accepted the results of our census. The new official population of 116,407, means new funding. The municipality anticipates $2.2 million in new provincial funding.

Federal census missed thousands of residents

There is a lot of complaining about our lack of services, especially federally/provincially funded ones. According to Mayor Melissa Blake, the Federal census missed thousands of Fort McMurray residents. This doesn’t even include the shadow population of uncounted renters/camp workers.
