Municipality anticipates $2.2 million in new provincial funding

Chinese pay $15 Billion in takeover of Nexen

Ottawa approves $15B Chinese takeover of Nexen . Amid much controversy, it’s now official that the China National Offshore Oil Company has purchased Nexen. Ottawa also approved Malaysian state-owned company Petronas $6 billion purchase of Alberta‚Äôs Progress Energy.
